About Us > Meet Our Staff > Dr. Ed Johnson, Jr.
After serving as senior Pastor for 35 years, Pastor Johnson became Pastor Emeritus in 2002. He still maintains an office in Minnesota and stays active in the church and ministry when in the area. He stays active in conference ministry and serves as the Executive Director of the Minnesota Association of Christian Schools.
Pastor Johnson received Christ as his Saviour on August 17, 1952, through the strong testimony and prayer of his sister, Lillian Morris. It was her desire to see her brother come to know the Lord she knew. After many times of begging her brother to attend church with her, he finally did so. It was then he heard God's simple plan of salvation and accepted that wonderful gift.
Pastor Johnson holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Tennessee Temple University and a Master's Degree from Tennessee Temple Seminary. Additionally, he holds an honorary Doctor of Divinity Degree from both Hyles-Anderson College (Hammond, Indiana) and Baptist Christian University (Shreveport, Louisiana).
Pastor Johnson is married to his bride of almost 55 years, Eleanor Walker Johnson. They have four children and eleven grandchildren.
